No understanding!!
By L. Hai
This book is actually quite frustrating to read..In fact, I stopped halfway..major flaw being lack of simple diagrams accompanying descriptions like 'Rising Pheonix formation' or 'Water mouth'. There's no appendix so you have to decipher what commonly used terms throughout the book such as 'dragon veins', 'embraces', 'vein's release?'are...Very very very frustrating with (What I wish for)no zoomed out pictures of burial sites with their mountains and anything that affects the qi of the tomb as well as arrows to indicate qi distribution. Because of the many jargons( With no clear definitions), this book is not for the laymen.

VERY Misleading book title and description
By MysticJaguar
This is a book of photos and short descriptions of sites involving Feng Shui in China. More accurately this is a series of photographs of the sites, many featuring the author. There is nearly NO teaching of what is happening on each site in any detail at all. It's like a slide show of Uncle Joey's trips and how cool this all is. There are no ' entertaining essays' here. Just short tidbits behind each photograph. Often you are told that such and such natural principle is represented in the associated photo. But you can't see it, having to take the authors word for it. You get some Chinese history along the way, much more than any Feng Shui teachings.

Seriously, other than as marketing material for his Feng Shui tours I don't see what this book is for. You are not going to learn Feng Shui from this. And you are not really told or shown how Feng Shui principles are displayed at each site.
